OUR TRIATHLON TRAINING PROGRAM

For the English speaking fellows of our Nicosia, Cyprus based triathlon team, i am writing our training program in English, translating from my Greek speaking site christostriathlon.

I will not write a detailed plan at swimming, as most swim clubs organized them.for our team.  In key workouts I write location and time to gather more people as possible. Basic rule a) the sessions start exactly on time and b) Everybody welcome, but if friends in cycling is very slow at some point be separated. As for the intensity i will be using the 5 heart rate zones, as shown at that picture:

Zone 1 = Rehabilitation and Health, 50% – 60% of the maximum heart rate (MHR)

Zone 2 = “fat burning” 60% – 70% of MHR.

Zone 3 = The aerobic zone 70% – 80% of MHR.

Zone 4 = The Anaerobic Zone 80% – 90% of MHR.

Zone 5. = The zone of maximum effort 90% – 100% of the MHR.

2.7.2012 Since we don’t have anymore English speaking members in our triathlon team, i will not post our training program in the english language. You can check our program in my Greek blog at the page ΤΟ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑ ΜΑΣ , and translate it to Google translate.
